ONE LOGBOOK. BOTH SIDES OF OWNERSHIP.
Log oil changes, filters, and other maintenance with dates, mileage, supplies, part numbers, and cost. Reusable service cards help you keep familiar jobs consistent.
Save repair details, the shop, invoice number, cost breakdowns, and receipts together. Add parts or labor warranty notes, and keep recommended work separate from completed work.
LESS RETYPING. STILL YOUR CALL.
On-device receipt scanning drafts recognizable information from supported photos and text-based PDFs. You stay in control of what becomes part of your service history.
Use a clear image or a PDF with selectable text. English text is read on your device.
Review the date, mileage, total, shop, work, and invoice number. Scanning can miss or misread information.
The receipt stays selected as an attachment. Nothing is saved until you save the service. Manual entry is available if scanning cannot read it.
HISTORY THAT HELPS WITH WHAT’S NEXT
Your saved services and receipts live in the same garage as your maintenance plan, warranty records, and shop follow-ups. What happened and what still needs doing stay distinct.
Explore AI maintenance plansImport service rows from a CSV, match the columns, and review them before saving. Add original receipts separately.
Underhood does not invent past maintenance or retrieve a complete dealer history. Add the records you know, and keep recommendations separate from completed jobs.
Review past work before visiting a shop, checking your warranty paperwork, or preparing records for a prospective buyer.
YOUR RECORDS CAN LEAVE THE APP
Open your service history in a spreadsheet for your own records or further review.
Print or save a report as PDF using your browser, or download an HTML copy.
Download the report with original receipt files. Extract the ZIP to use the included receipt links.
Review exports before sharing. Receipts and reports may contain your VIN, address, or other personal details. Keeping records does not guarantee a warranty claim or increase in resale value.
THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
Yes. Keep oil changes and other DIY maintenance alongside shop visits. Record the actual date, mileage, work, cost, parts or supplies, shop details, and invoice information, with receipts attached to the service.
No. Scanning drafts recognizable fields for your review. Check the date, mileage, total, shop, work, and invoice number before saving. Nothing is saved until you save the service. If scanning fails, you can enter the details manually and keep the receipt attached.
You can attach PDFs, JPGs, PNGs, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF photos, up to 10 MB per file. On-device scanning reads English text from clear JPG, PNG, or WebP photos and PDFs with selectable text. HEIC files can be attached but are not scanned; for scanned-image PDFs, use a clear photo for scanning.
Yes. Import a CSV with up to 200 service rows and 1 MB per file. Match columns, select the date format, and preview valid rows before importing. Duplicates are skipped. Receipt files and fuel logs are not imported, and importing does not update your current odometer or automatically complete reminders.
Yes. Export service history as CSV, print a report to PDF, or download an HTML report. Choose Report + original receipts ZIP to include the original files with the report. A standard PDF or HTML report lists receipts separately. Account JSON backups do not include the original receipt files.
No. Underhood organizes the records you enter or import; it does not automatically retrieve a complete history from dealers, insurers, or previous owners. Missing work stays missing until you add it. Your records are useful documentation, not a guarantee of vehicle condition, warranty coverage, or resale value.
